Premiata Ceramica Sperimentale is a project initiated by Daniele Tollot in 2018, following his studies in fashion design and a period as an accessories designer. Born in a small mountain village he developed a deep connection to nature—both its raw beauty and its harsher aspects. The project explores the expressive potential of clay through an open-ended process of material research and experimentation.
Its practice merges local traditions with influences gathered during travels to remote places, shaping a constantly evolving material research.
Working primarily with stoneware and wild clays, it embraces both the possibilities and constraints of the medium, allowing unexpected occurrences to inform new directions. The focus on vessels comes from their intrinsic functionality—structural limitations that do not restrict but rather define and rationalize his approach.
Handcrafted in small batches or unique each piece reflects a tension between control and accident, intuition and method, tradition and contemporary design.
